    Position Description: The Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm (https://www.remickmuseum.org), located in the historic village of Tamworth, NH, seeks a year-round, part-time (20-30 hr/week) Farm Assistant beginning immediately. This position reports to the Farm Manager and the successful candidate will participate in animal care for a variety of livestock, milking duties for a small dairy operation, and some maintenance projects. Candidate should be comfortable handling cattle and small livestock (chickens, pigs, goats, and sheep). In addition, he or she will participate in seasonal duties including, but not limited to, maple syrup production, hay making and storage, and snow removal. Tractor operation is necessary with experience in both automatic and manual transmission operation. The ideal candidate will have a flexible and adaptive personality with strong communication skills and looking to invest in a team environment but also be capable of completing individual tasks.

    Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, and be willing to undergo a background check. Prior experience in farming, farm equipment operation, and basic maintenance duties is preferred. This position requires outside work in rain, heat, cold and snow. Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs and be willing to work at least one weekend day as part of their schedule. Salary is commensurate with experience, with range beginning at $15-18/hr.
