    Location:                                            Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center, Enid, OK.              

    Key Duties:

    • Coordinate the collections care and acquisition program at the Center to further the mission
    • Oversee building maintenance and cleaning for the Center, the original land office, and any offsite exhibit space. Ensure the grounds are maintained to present a positive public image. Coordinate the maintenance of the buildings in Humphreys Heritage Village with Oklahoma Historical Society and the Sons and Daughters of the Cherokee Strip
    •  Prepare fundraising materials, assist with fundraising presentations, interact with donors, research funding opportunities, and assist Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center, Inc. in reaching annual fundraising goals and endowment goals.
    • Oversee revenue generating activities for the Center such as gift shop, rentals, and programming
    • Serve as the primary public contact for the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center. This includes programming at area civic groups, promoting the center through the local media and acting as the primary communications link between the Oklahoma Historical Society, the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center Board, the Sons and Daughters of the Cherokee Strip, and Phillips University to coordinate efforts and resources of these entities to further the Center’s mission.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of an active exhibit and programming schedule
    • Work to spread the mission and projects of the museum throughout the region
    • Develop and implement annual goals and objectives for the facility as well as long range plans to guide the work at the Center and ensure the best use of available resources
    • Develop annual budget in cooperation with the private support groups and the Oklahoma Historical Society and monitor financial statements to ensure expenses are in-line with the approved budget
    • Provide supervision and leadership for employees and volunteers at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center.
