We are constantly creating interpretive programs, but what takes those programs to the next level? How do we create programs that leave lasting impressions on our visitors? We need to use interpretive methods that allow our visitors to immerse their senses and emotions throughout our programs and events. Grab your gear and climb out of the trenches with us as we “Take Living History Over the Top” at Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park.
As we climb out of the trenches, we want to focus on those developments made on the farm, in rural areas, and in agriculture around the turn of the 20th century, as well as the improvements that emerged from the Great War.
Have a topic or program in mind? We invite you to submit your presentation proposal to Cassie.Kazmark@tn.gov before January 20th for the SEALHFAM Regional conference in Pall Mall, Tennessee, March 14-16, 2025. We welcome volunteers, directors, and all interpreters and hope you will join us and be able to “Take Living History Over the Top” at your own institutions!
