The New England Region of ALHFAM will be hosting a weekend retreat at Shelburne Farms from November 17th through the19th. The purpose of the retreat is to come together as a region, plan out next steps, and learn something new.

Shelburne Farms is an education non-profit just south of Burlington, Vermont, with a mission to inspire and cultivate learning for a sustainable future.

Highlights include a deep dive into Shelburne through tours and discussions, a learning journey to the Rokeby Museum, one of the best-documented Underground Railroad Sites in the Country, and a dinner discussion with Burlington Chef, Jessee Lawyer. Chef Lawyer is an enrolled citizen of the Abenaki Nation of the Missisquoi who creates indigenous specialties, and focuses on past and present Abenaki cuisine and culture.
