Introduction to Bobbin Lace

Details:  Introduction to Bobbin Lace - Bobbin lace is an intricate decorative art form that takes years to master. This class is designed to give you a very basic foundation. You will learn how to set up bobbins, do basic stitches, and start to learn to read patterns. There will be a few patterns to choose from. This class is geared toward the absolute beginner. If you already have some knowledge of bobbin lace this class is probably too basic for you. The cost of the class includes 12 basic plastic bobbins to take home and instructions to make a basic pillow so you can continue to practice at home. This class runs over lunch time but no food will be provided. You are welcome to bring a snack if you would like. This class is open to participants 12-18 if accompanied by an adult also taking the class.

Price: $45 (museum members) / $50 (non-members)
