Mount Harmon Plantation in Earleville, MD (www.mountharmon.org) is looking for an African American female, 20s to 30s, to portray an enslaved women during a national Revolutionary War cultural event

The candidate needs to have excellent public speaking skills, know something of the regional narrative, and be very comfortable in that role. The person selected will be working with a seasoned (male) reenactor. Mount Harmon Plantation has background material about this community that can be shared.

Both will have access to the newly recreated dwelling next to the main house that is fully furnished, for the period, and has a working hearth, which may be in operation. See attached.

There will be compensation; would prefer someone local either from Maryland's Eastern Shore or Delaware, but if the right person is from e.g. Philadelphia or Baltimore nearby overnight accommodations can be arranged. Would like to schedule a walk-through of the site.
