We are looking for a blacksmith at Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park.  The shop is in a reproduction of the shop Alvin had on his 400-acre farm that he began to operate in the early 1920s.  We have a coal forge, and will provide the equipment and supplies needed in the shop.  Schedule can be flexible, but will mostly include weekends to keep the shop open during our peak visitation days.  

The position is paid through a grant with the TN Arts Commission.  The artist in residence will receive a monthly stipend of $1,600/month, and FREE park housing.  To apply, or for more information on the position, please reach out to Cassie.Kazmark@tn.gov.
