Fort Osage National Historic Landmark is hiring for a full time living history interpreter position! Located in Sibley, MO Fort Osage overlooks the Missouri River and represents the fur trade and the years of 1808-1812.

Salary: $22.68/hour
Job Duties:
- Responsible for presenting onsite historic interpretive programs that engage and interact with the patrons, and for the planning and implementing of special events, workshops, and ticketed experiences.
- Recruits, trains, and schedules volunteers, and assist in the daily maintenance of the site.
- Works with site staff and volunteers to archive and preserve the site’s historic structures, artifacts, grounds, and historically valuable documents
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in History, Archeology, Museum Studies, Archival Science, or related field.
- At least one (1) year of work experience in museum administration, historic interpretation, special promotions, or an equivalent combination of experience.
- Must be able to work weekends and occasional holidays.
- Must have basic computer skills including e-mail and Microsoft Office.
- Must possess/maintain valid Driver’s license.
- Must submit to/pass pre-employment drug and background screen.
