MUSEUM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Job Summary: The State of Arizona is currently seeking an Executive Director for the Prescott Historical Society. This position is the chief executive of both the Prescott Historical Society, a state agency, and the Sharlot Hall Historical Society, a non-profit corporation that provides financial support to the Agency. The major responsibilities of this position are to plan, develop and administer a regional history program for the Sharlot Hall Museum and the Fort Whipple Museum. The Executive Director works with Board of Trustees to develop long range business and strategic plans for the Societies; directs financial planning and budgets; cultivates productive relationships with community and business leaders, membership, public officials, relevant professional organizations and potential donors; represents the agency at public events; participates in historical activities; encourages and participates in cooperative educational programs; and oversees development and fundraising programs together with Board of Trustees, staff and others. The Executive Director is authorized to make all operational decisions for the Societies, including decisions respecting program development, management, fiscal, staffing and fundraising matters
Minimum Qualifications: Five years of progressive experience in directing an appropriate multilayered organization.
Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
