    Qualifications:  Motivated, outgoing, career-minded staff person with woodworking experience, and a passion for history and historical hand tools and techniques.  Some teaching, acting, or (ideally) first person interpretive experience or interest is desired.  Your attention to detail and ability to work either independently or with others will be especially appreciated.

    Duties will include:

    •   Timber framing / wattle & daub construction
    •   Using and making historical hand tools
    •   Making period furnishings (tables, benches, beds, and other furnishings)
    •   Conventional construction occasionally
    •   Building and site repairs
    •   Site maintenance (windfall, leaves, fencing, etc.)
    •   Woodworking demonstrations for visitors
    •   Educational first-person role playing
    •   Could include blacksmithing (depending on your interest)

    We can train you and provide tools and equipment.

    Vehicle required (we are not on a bus line).

    Compensation negotiable: $25,000 to 30,000 annually, depending on experience.
